This Father's Day my niece Emma stayed at our house for a night. We had so much fun with her! She is so cute as long as she gets what she wants... We had a sleepover in the tent trailer that night and went to the park with the Thurber girls the next day. Emma has this fascination with the handles on our fireplace and is always singing songs into them like they're a microphone. I caught her in the act and even captured some beautiful dancing. Enjoy!

I am thinking about throwing out the contacts and just getting some glasses like these; what do you think?

Birthday Fun!

Last Monday was Gracie Thurber's birthday and me and Tom went over for her dance party birthday celebration. It was SO much fun! We all dressed up in riduculously awesome costumes and danced the night away. Once the kids were in bed, us grownups made a music video. We made it w/out doing any planning and it turned out SO good thanks to Alice and her amazing editing skills! I will post the link to it so you can check it out. I think we have potential to becoming big stars...

We went outside and found this awesome double rainbow

So for some reason the girls loved knocking on my coconut bra! Luckily there's nothing there to damage! :)

Ping Pong at Midnight

If you learned about the four seasons when you were in elementary school you know that in March, spring begins. It starts to warm up outside and you pull out the shorts and flip-flops and only have to wear a jacket sometimes in the morning. Not in Logan! We went out to play ping-pong one Saturday night a couple of weeks ago and it was FREEZING! It was so cold out we could see our breath! Nevertheless, we played through the cold and had a blast. I love ping pong at midnight...

Like Twilight Much?

Ok. I am not afraid to admit that I am a big fan of all things Twilight, so when Alice gave me this awesome shirt she found at Wal-Mart I was more than a little excited! Of course I had to strike a few model poses in it to show it off! Yes, it is for New Moon and the movie Eclipse comes out this month, but I still love it. Alice bought one just like it so we are going to dress alike to go see the new movie opening day. Awesome sauce!

Traditions

In our family ever since I can remember we have done the same thing each memorial day. Although it is a lot different than it used to be growing up we still do the same things. We begin our day by visiting two cemetaries in Ogden to put flowers on the graves of family since passed on. At the second cemetary we always meet up with the Thurber side of the family to sit on chairs or blankets reminiscing about my grandparents and Aunt Linnea, laughing a lot, and throwing around a football or frisbee. Though our numbers have dwindled to almost nothing, those there still reminisced, laughed, and yes, threw around the football and frisbee. My niece Emma found great joy in playing catch with us and running around the cemetary.

After we have had our fun had the cemetary, we all loaded into our cars and drove to Heber City where we went to Uncle Jay and Aunt Phyllis' farm where they had animals, tire swings, and more importantly, the pond. We spent countless hours playing in the water and riding in canoes on that pond. A few years ago after Uncle Jay had passed on, Wal-Mart bought the farm from Aunt Phyllis and she now lives in a nice new house. It's weird to go somewhere different, but it was still fun to go and see family there. I think most of us left with a nice sunburn...

This year, after we left Heber we drove to my aunt Bonnie's house in Salt Lake for a visit. My brother Ben and his family are in Utah this week for a couple of weddings so we met at Bonnie's house to see them and their kids. It was a lot of fun to be together and especially to see my cute nephews Logan and Dane.

Seriously a great day with great people who I love!

Aunt Phyllis' house

Even with chocolate smeared on her face she's such a cutie!
Emma couldn't get enough of this flag! Every time the wind blew it in her face, she'd laugh and say, "It winded me!" SO cute!
She also got a hold of this ukulele and loved playing it.
Horsey rides!
Daners must have been starving! He resorted to licking off someone's plate... Adorable!
Me and the niece and nephews!
Halloween and Bonnie with Emma

Aren't they just the two most handsome little boys?
