Happily Never After

Well folks, that cute little fairy tale you read about in the last post is now just that; a fairy tale. There will be no "happily ever after" for the two main characters. It's hard, but life goes on right? I just need to keep a positive attitude about life and try to move on. As I sat on the steps with my mom, heartbroken about what happened , my little brother shared with me some wise words he once heard from one of our older(and wiser I'm sure he would say) brothers about dating. "Boys are like buses; they come around every ten minutes." That's my new philosophy; just give me a few days before you start the ten minutes ok?

It's a Like Story...

Ok, I am here to tell you all a little story. One that most of you have been bugging me about to put on here for awhile... Once upon a time there was a girl named Katie who had a cousin named Casey. Casey worked with this guy named Greg and decided he wanted to set them up. He gave Greg Katie's phone number and Greg called her up to see if she might want to go on a date with him. Katie agreed and they planned a day that they would meet.

That day came quickly(just two days after the phone call) and Greg and Katie had a good time getting to know each other. Soon, the date ended and Greg had to go back to Kaysville (that is where he lived) on his silver horse(er, Toyota Camry). They agreed to see each other again and soon Katie was in "like" with Greg and they began dating. Greg and Katie did a lot of fun things together, such as going to movies, shopping, watching the super bowl, cooking, and just talking to get to know each other better.

Sadly there are no good pictures that I, the narrator, have in my possession of Greg and Katie together, but here is one of Greg. I am getting off topic though so let me continue on with the story...

Greg asked Katie to be his valentine and the two spent a wonderful Valentines night together. They went to dinner and then spent a magical evening at a park talking, looking at the stars, and other like things. That night, Greg gave Katie a cute bouquet of flowers....
And he also gave her a very pretty jewelry box, chocolates, and gourmet cupcakes.
This fairytale is not over yet, so I cannot tell you if Greg and Katie live "happily ever after", but for now it's a "like" story and things seem to be looking up.
The end!

Changes...

We all go through them, and these past few weeks I've had some changes in my life.

One thing that hasn't changed is how much I love the Thurber girls! I can't go to their house for even a few minutes without them wanting to take pictures with my camera. How could you say no to these cute little faces?
Meile is quite the photographer and enjoys having her models pose with a silly face:

Change #1: I got a haircut! She only cut off two inches, but I could definitely tell some of my hair was missing.
Here's the before shot:

And here's the after shot. I've been thinking about growing my hair out long again. What are your opinions? I know these aren't the best examples of diff lengths, but I'd love your input!

Change #2: I am not sure how much of this next change I want to put up. I'll just say this change involves a guy ok? And it includes the Super Bowl(which I will now talk about). I went and watched with the Thurber family this year at their house. We had a party and ate a ton of food, watched the game, placed some bets on which team would win(and I may have lost the bet so I owe the winner dinner), and just had a lot of fun!

Change can be good and change can be bad. I am grateful for the good changes going on in my life right now! Here's to hoping they'll keep coming...
